Projects

We host 3 fledgling advocacy projects at our offices in Southampton, which we hope to “promote and float” in the near future so that they become independent projects in their own right.

Your Voice Advocacy - for older people in Southampton, with funding from Southampton City Council. Contact Siven on 02380 238155 or siven@hampshireadvocacy.org.uk for more information.

Mental Health Advocacy Development Project – we started this project in June 2008, with an advocate who can work with people who cannot access any other mental health advocacy, particularly those with hearing impairments. Contact Chris on 02380 715679 or chris@hampshireadvocacy.org.uk for more information.

The Access Project - In July 2008 we started a project working with vulnerable adults in Southampton who find it difficult to access services either because they don't meet eligibility criteria or they don't fall within a recognised client group. Southampton City Council have funded an advocate who will work alongside a care manager in order to offer people support. Contact Chris on 02380 715679 or chris@hampshireadvocacy.org.uk for more information.
